Bio

Name: Angi Axmann
Age: 29

What I have done in the past:

Gymnast growing up
Very thankful for the flexibility my years as a gymnast gave me...and even now I am still up for a handstand walking battle at any time :-)

Runner while in Germany (cross, middle distance, steeplechase)
Competed with the state team at the national level, racing at state championships and german championships. Multiple state champion title in cross, steeple and middle distance.

Runner for Black Hills State University (NAIA)
2004 National Indoor Champion in the 4*800 m relay
2004 National Runner up in the 1000 m
2005 National Outdoor Champion in the 3000 m Steeplechase

Transfer to Northern Arizona University
Healing from a sesamoid bone fracture in my foot :-(

Anything else that is important?

Cat 2 cyclist - really enjoyed racing as a cyclist until I ended up with stitches. Get over it and return, then in 2012 I got hit by a car (luckily with minor injuries).

Cat 2 Cyclocrosser - combining running, steeplechase and cycling? Bring it!!!

Running - always love running, post college proudest moment? Winning in my first marathon (IMS) ever with a course record and 5 weeks of training. Boston 2014 here I come!!!

Triathlon - Pro card, spend 2011 racing in the USA, Austria, Germany and Spain. Proudest moment? Winning the Elite Duathlon National Championship race (even though I was not awarded the title due to me being originally from Germany :-(, leading the 5150 points system for one week (YAY) and going into the 5150 championship race, the HyVee triathlon ranked 7th.

And what now?

One year accelerated nursing program student until May 2014
Running-focus for one year
---return to triathlon AND having a job where I can help and care for people!!!
